Look, there! Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No! It’s CPCD’s Henry’s Heroes!!
Who are they? Why they are our local superheroes! They use their monthly superpowers to give our community’s most vulnerable little ones the tools they need to learn to read, write, play, and imagine! Children influenced by the Henry’s Heroes powers are more likely to finish high school, enroll in college, AND are less likely to become teen parents or commit crimes.
Henry’s Heroes give monthly to CPCD – no gift is too small or too great. Just $12 a month will supply classrooms will provide puzzles and books that children learn best from. These heroes know, with great power comes great responsibility. And they are using their superpowers for good.
Do you want to be a superhero, too?
As we look forward to starting the new school year, inflation and transportation costs are challenging. We anticipate that many children will come to school from households experiencing food insecurity and poor nutrition. While at CPCD, children in our full-day programs receive breakfast, lunch and a snack, sometimes the only food they get that day.
What a young child eats is vital for brain development, focus and learning. Be a hero today and become a part of CPCD’s masked philanthropists! Whatever you can do each month means the world.
